Smitha Sehgal is a bilingual poet who writes in English and Malayalam. Her collection of poems ‘How Women Become Poems in Malabar’ has been published by Red River.  She has been nominated for the distinguished Best of the Net awards by three international poetry journals. She is alumna of Govt Law College and is currently serving as DGM-Legal, Engineers India Limited (a Govt of India Company) and her forte is commercial arbitration, negotiating cross border transactions and laws on gender justice.
