Uma Prakash is an art Critic and curator of visual and performing arts. For over 25 years she was the contributing editor of Hong Kong based Asian Art News and World Sculpture News.
She co-founded the Art and Literature Foundation and created the Gurgaon Utsav, the only open air, free, large, performing arts festival in Gurgaon.

She was awarded the Kala Ratna Samman for her dedication to Art and culture in 2023.

She lives in Gurgaon and currently writes for several publications and curates visual and performing art exhibitions.
